The story is fiction but I do know situation like the write described had happen in real life , very sad story , I couldnt put this book down just simply couldnt every single page was entwined with mystery ,enigmatic events . Every single character touched my heart so deeply that I felt very upset sad , empathy , almost felt like happened in a real life , I could write more . I recommend the book was a journey for me and definitely this book stay with me for long time .
Hard to Put Down
Shellˇ Review provided by booktopia.com.au ˇ May 25, 2019
I could not put this book down even as it darted from times gone by to more recent times.
The ending was a bit unbelievable but that's fiction for you.
The pain of people who had their babies taken away from them at birth by "good doers" during a time in history when having a child out of wedlock was considered wicked is well covered.
The book hints at what else the Catholic nuns got up to in the way they treated children.
The Girl in the Letter
Mazˇ Review provided by booktopia.com.au ˇ August 28, 2022
This was an interesting and compelling book to read. The storyline was a little confusing at times as it went back to earlier years and then moved to the current time.
I enjoyed the book as I kept wanting to read the next chapter until the very end.

A really good read. Characters that you really care about & some very unexpected twists. Would recommend, but be prepared for the emotional impact.
