I just recently got back into reading, and this book has been talked a lot about on my Facebook reading groups. I was happy to find out that my local library had it. It honestly took almost half the book for me to really get into it. The ending was good and came full circle, but I did struggle just to finish it. The writing and delivery are okay. I'm not really sure I would recommend this book. It was just alright for me. 3/5 stars.

I like cozy murder mysteries. It’s a suspense it’s not about the murder. The murder is obvious the murderer is obvious very fast. I honestly thought how exactly how was the author going to make this a good book since you know both of these facts within the first 20% of the book. OMG 😳 the author is brilliant. I loved it. And as a matter of fact, by the time you get to the last five pages, you will be thrilled about how it was all tied up. And by the time you read the last page you’re going to be crying. It’s just that good perfect ending!

I had mixed feelings about this book. I found the story gripping, but one part in particular I found a bit far fetched. However it is a MUST read for fans of thrillers! Laurel Mack has lost her number one daughter Ellie. She left home to go to the library and never returned. The tragic event see's Laurel lose her husband Paul to another woman and her other daughter Hanna, to become very distant from her. Then all of a sudden Ellie's bones are discovered and it's time for Laurel to move on. One day she meets a Maths expert called Floyd and they begin to fall deeply in love. When Laurel is introduced to Floyd's daughter Poppy, she is filled with shock and mixed emotions. As their relationship blossoms, Laurel begins to suspect that something rather dark is lurking in the background and Floyd is not as wonderful as he appears to be! This book had me turning the pages so quickly, that I became obsessed with finishing it as quickly as possible as I just had to find out how it would end. What more can I say? It was shocking, heartbreaking, very mysterious and extremely cruel. However it was one of those books where you get to the end and think WOW!
