❄ The Snowy Owl Run—Our Most Popular Trip
This half-day experience is suitable for ALL ages and multiple fitness levels.
Your Experience Includes:
- A warm welcome to our outpost near Ely, Minnesota, with room to gear up in our indoor lodge room.
- Expert advice from our guides on what to wear for the day’s temperatures and conditions.
- The opportunity to obtain any gear you may need from our extensive Rental Department.
- A tour of our dog yard and a “paws-on” meet and greet with our canine athletes, and an opportunity to ask questions of our friendly, knowledgeable guides.
- Our thorough indoor sled-driving orientation prior to the start of your trip.
- The exhilarating launch! Hop onto your sled and hold on tight as we hook up the teams and head out on an hour-long trip that covers about 8 miles of beautiful wilderness trails!
- The return to the dog yard and a great photo op with a team of huskies, fresh off the trail.
- A cozy conclusion in our lodge with hot cocoa, snacks, and a fireside chat with our head guide.

❄ The Backcountry Trek—Our More Challenging Half-Day Tour
This half-day adventure offers a longer dogsledding experience, taking you through more challenging terrain features than our Snowy Owl Run. It is best suited for parties where at least half (50%) of your group has a higher fitness level to negotiate the more rugged trail.
Your Experience Includes:
- A warm welcome to our outpost near Ely, Minnesota, with space to gear up in our indoor lodge room.
- Expert advice from our guides on what to wear for the day’s temperatures and conditions.
- The opportunity to obtain any gear you may need from our extensive Rental Department.
- A tour of our dog yard and a “paws-on” meet and greet with our canine athletes, and an opportunity to ask questions of our friendly, knowledgeable guides.
- Our thorough indoor sled-driving orientation prior to the start of your trip.
- The exhilarating launch! Hop onto your sled and hold on tight as we hook up the teams and head out on a 2-hour trip covering about 15 miles of beautiful wilderness trails!
